Indiana County awarded the Creative Communities Grant

The Indiana County Office of Planning & Development (ICOPD), was been awarded Pennsylvania Council for the Arts’ Creative Communities grant. ICOPD, the Indiana County Board of Commissioners, Spruce Arts and the Indiana Arts Council of Pennsylvania (IAC) along with seven other partner organizations that enacted a new strategic plan for the countywide “Room to Grow” arts initiative from 2021-2025. This multi-year grant supported the education of hundreds of artists, new installations, and a variety of community-managed projects.

Harley served as the executive director and program manager for this project until she moved to Florida in 2024.

Since being awarded this grant, Indiana County has installed over 40 murals across the county. We’ve hosted workshops for adults and students to learn about public art programs, and we have supported creative projects throughout the county.
