Hannah Harley is a research based visual artist exploring themes of mass media and image understanding in contemporary American society. Harley’s research is motivated by existing structures’ and institutions’ use and exploitation of visual language.

She received a Master’s of Fine Arts in Photography and Related Media from Parsons, a graduate certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies from The New School, and a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Photography from Point Park University. Harley is the Director of Spruce Arts in Indiana, PA and an adjunct professor at Point Park University and Youngstown State University.

She is a member of Associated Artists Pittsburgh and has work in the permanent collections of Repair the World and Point Park University.
