Hannah Harley is a New York-based visual artist whose conceptual work is heavily influenced by contemporary culture shifts and politics. Her detailed explorations of the American political spectacle is found in her current work, stemming from the Homefront and This is What Democracy Looks Like. In recent years, she has researched the millennial generation’s perceptions of intimacy through Untitled (Pornography), Portraits of Ex-Lovers, Love in the Digital Age, and Table Manners.
Her role as a creative community organizer has fostered the Fix, a fine art magazine in Pittsburgh, PA and the 66 Collective in New York, NY. She has orchestrated juried exhibitions and bi-monthly magazines.
She is an MFA candidate at Parsons School of Design, where she focuses on photography. She received her undergraduate education at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she earned a BFA in Photography. She has work in the permanent collections of Repair the World (Pittsburgh, PA) and Point Park University.
