Launched into peak cultural saturation between 2014 and 2015, Tinder fundamentally restructured the romantic and sexual landscape for the millennial generation by gamifying attraction and relationships. The platform’s interface was based on five images and three sentences per profile, which necessitated a rapid-fire analysis and reduced the complexities of human identity to a binary "swipe." In full, this piece is composed of 80 profiles from Pittsburgh, PA during this time, and it functions as a visual record of this era.
