Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault

When sexual action falls outside of the legal definition of assault but within the lived experience of trauma, it is often described as "coerced compliance" or "non-consensual sexual experiences (NCSE)". This series of black-and-white studio photographs investigates this "grey area" of sexual agency: the space between enthusiastic consent and overt violation. By recreating narratives of coerced compliance and blurred boundaries, the work examines the psychological friction of these encounters and the limits of law, consent, and respect.
