Through Her Eyes
After the death of my grandmother, I discovered a thousand images stored on her small digital camera - a private record of her view of the world in her late nineties. These photographs are a curated journey through that archive, featuring the still moments she captured, sometimes accidentally and occasionally with heavy filters. These images are the last traces of her visual agency; they are filtered, shaky, and deeply personal. Curating them for display felt like the final act of collaboration I could enjoy with my grandmother. This series offers a rare look at the view from the blue couch, documenting a world that was rich with friends and family but also with a loneliness that is visually evident.
