Countdown

This series is a photographic examination of the makeshift office spaces used in the final weeks of American political campaigns. By documenting several of Hillary Clinton’s campaign offices in the two weeks preceding the 2016 election, these images focus on the utilitarian aesthetic of the temporary campaign offices and their hopeful decorations. The flurry of people is noticeably absent amidst the deflated balloons and abandoned liters of soda bottles. These photographs interrogate the gap between the monumental scale of the Presidency and the fragile, human-scale environments built to pursue it.
